In this section we try and answer some of the most important questions you may have.
Do I get a Certificate for Attending the Conference?
Yes, within 2-3 weeks of conference completion, a certificate will be uploaded to emcore.com.au to your dashboard. You can login to the website, using the email you used to book, set or change your password and then download your certificate. We will not be emailing certificates. The purpose of having it on your dashboard, is to allow you to re-download it, if you misplace the original.
Where will all notifications, tickets etc be sent before the conference?
All notifications go to the email address used to register for the conference. Please be sure, to enter this correctly and ensure that if someone else is booking for you, that they use your name and your email address.
Why can’t I login to my dashboard?
Your dashboard, showing the event you have booked and where your certificates are uploaded, becomes active following the conference.
Are CPD points available for every College?
If we have applied for CPD points, we will ensure to put this on the relevent webpage. With self reporting and your certificate available, you can submit and apply for points with any College.
Are the pre-conference workshops included in the price of the Conference?
Pre-conference workshops are a separate booking.
Are the Pre-Conference workshops held at the same venue as the Conference?
In nearly all cases they are. If not, we will advise of the venue address on the relevant page.
Are meals provided during the conference?
Yes. we have refreshments and meals at the breaks for you.
Will I get access to the recordings of the conference lectures?
We do not always have recordings available. If a conference is recorded, we will ususally make it available on the website for you to login and watch. Just go to your dashboard.
What if I have to cancel or postpone?
In most cases we will be able to assist you, with refunds or deferments, however with overseas conferences, we pay for your place early. To find out all the information, please read out Terms and Conditions.
Does EMCORE supply the accommodation for each conference?
No we do not, nor are we responsible for the accommodation. It is a separate booking that each delegate makes. We try and negotiate a better price for everyone, when we book a venue. We ask that a number of rooms be kept aside. We get no cash benefit for doing this. We may also notify you of surrounding alternative accommodation, which you may choose from. These are in no way recommendations of those venues.
We recommend you book rooms as early as possible, as although we ask for a set of rooms to be set aside, the hotels will take them backed if not booked rapidly especially 3-4 months out of the conference, so that they do not lose sales. The delegate is responsible for booking their own accommodation as well as any transport costs to the conference venue from their accommodation.
