A/Prof Peter Kas

Peter is a senior Emergency Physician and past Director of Emergency Services and Director of Emergency Medical Training. He is the creator and Convenor of the EMCORE Conferences. His mission is to teach. He runs the popular resus.com.au and emmastery.org. He has a passion for finding the perfect Long Island Iced Tea.

A/Prof Will Davies

Will is a senior Consultant Emergency Physician with extensive experienced in in a range of emergency medicine environments. He holds fellowships in emergency medicine, tropical medicine, medical administration and toxinology and is a Clinical Director within the NSW Health Service. He is also a medical advisor with an interest in the field of emerging artificial intelligence.

Professor Paul Middleton

Paul is a specialist in emergency medicine, and has worked in critical care retrieval in helicopters, fixed wing aircraft and ground ambulances. He is the Director of the South Western Emergency Research Institute (SWERI) at Liverpool Hospital, Chief Medical Information Officer at SWSLHD, and the Chair of Take Heart Australia. He was the Founding Chair of the Emergency Department Epidemiology Network (EDEN) of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) and the immediate Past Chair of the Australian Resuscitation Council NSW branch.

Adam is a Specialist Emergency Physician and Director of Emergency Medicine Training at Bundaberg Public Hospital, Australia.

Dr Claire Wilkin-Marshall

Claire is a Paediatric Emergency Physician at the Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne Australia. She has extensive experience in critical care including intensive care and retrieval medicine and has also worked in the United Kingdom and Uganda. She has an interest in optimising trauma care for children and has produced the Paediatric component of the revised Trauma Victoria Guidelines.

Professor Peter Kistler

Professor Kistler is an international leader in cardiac arrhythmia research.
He is the Head of Clinical Electrophysiology research at the Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute and Head of Electrophysiology at The Alfred hospital. He has joint appointments as Professor of Medicine at the University of Melbourne and Monash University.

Dr Helen Fry

FACRRM Rural Generalist with a broad base of experience including Emergency Medicine, Pre-Hospital care, Remote Health, Aboriginal Health, Tropical Medicine, Expedition Medicine, Public Health and Medical Education. Have worked across many areas including outback Australia, Europe, India, Africa and the South Pacific. Currently working in Rural EM, Med Ed, aeromedical retrieval and Clinical Service Delivery

Dr Pascal Gelperowicz

Pascal has been a past director of an Emergency Department, and a past Director of Emergency Training.
He currently works at Northern Health including as educational and information lead with the Victorian Virtual Emergency Department.
He likes to tackle difficult topics, focussing on human interactions, and lives in Melbourne with two teenagers, who, to date, remain sane and non-rebellious.

Dr Stefanie Hammond

Dr Stefanie Hammond is a Rural Generalist based in southwest Victoria, working across general practice, emergency medicine, and medical education. She is passionate about rural healthcare equity, clinician wellbeing, and creating supportive training environments.

Dr Avijit Barai

Dr Avijit Barai is an Emergency Medicine Consultant based in Australia with a strong passion for integrating ultrasound into everyday patient care. He holds multiple CCPUs from ASUM and has built a reputation as an advocate for advancing ultrasound education and practice.
He is a Fellow of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine, a member of the Australasian Society of ultrasound in medicine and an active member of the Emergency Medicine Ultrasound Group.
Committed to knowledge sharing, Dr Barai produces interactive video podcasts and hands on teaching sessions in collaboration with ultrasound specialists from across the globe. He believes that “the sky is the limit” when it comes to the potential of ultrasound in emergency medicine.
With multiple publications to his name, Dr Barai is both a researcher and a lifelong learner, continually seeking to expand the boundaries of ultrasound in clinical practice while inspiring others to do the same.

FAQs

Do I get a Certificate for Attending the Conference? Yes, within 2 weeks of conference completion, a certificate will be uploaded to emcore.com.au. You can login to the website, using the email you used to book, set or change your password and then download your certificate. We will not be emailing certificates.

Where will all notifications, tickets etc be sent before the conference? All notifications go to the email address used to register for the conference. Please be sure, to enter this correctly and ensure if someone else is booking for you, that they include your email address.

Are CPD points available for every College? If we have applied for CPD points, we will ensure to put this on the relevent webpage. With the self reporting and your certificate, you can apply for points with any College.

Is the Cardiac Bootcamp at the same venue as the EMCORE Conference? Yes.

Are meals provided during the conference? Yes. we have refreshments and meals at the breaks for you.

Will I get access to the recordings of the conference lectures? We do not always have recordings available. If there is a recording we will ususally make it available on the website for you to login and watch.
