Day 1

0900-1100

Resuscitation I
This is a 2 hour interactive session with real scenario demonstrations. We cover Shock, Cardiac Arrest, Airway in the Critical Patient

1130-1300

Resuscitation II
This session continues with traumatic resuscitation, paediatric resuscitation and resuscitation procedures.

1400-1530

Airway and Ventilation
This session takes you over airway preparation, pre-ox, secrets to intubation success, the prep and the ventilation virtuoso demonstrations.

Day 2

0900-1100

HALO: High Acuity Low-Occurance
These require immediate intervention. Includes airway and respiratory emergencies, cardiovascular crises, O&G emergencies and neurological and opthalmological emergencies.

1130-1300

Neurological Mayhem
Headaches, bleeds, strokes, BP control and the 3 minute neuro exam everyone can do.

1400-1530

Panel Time
Ask the panel. Discussions on real time cases, where the panel talks about approaches to management. Case examples, the sick obstetric patient, the pneumonia patient, toxidromes, the aggressive patient and more.

Day 3

Rapid Cardiology
Storm, SCAD, Takotsubo and more

Mixed Bag
A mixture of cases and discussions, just like the ones you will see on your next shift.

Dr Malcolm Tunnicliff

Malcolm is a Consultant and Honorary Senior Lecturer in Emergency Medicine, and Clinical Director for Major Trauma at King’s College Hospital, London. He undertook higher specialist training in Emergency Medicine on the SE London rotation, including secondments in pre-hospital care and medical toxicology. Malcolm is also a Consultant with Air Ambulance Kent, Surrey Sussex. His interests lie in damage control resuscitation, medical toxicology, leadership and education. When not at work Malcolm can be found on a cricket pitch!

Dr Adam Michael

Adam is a Specialist Emergency Physician and Director of Emergency Medicine Training at Bundaberg Public Hospital, Australia.

Dr Claire Wilkin-Marshall

Claire is a Paediatric Emergency Physician at the Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne Australia. She has extensive experience in critical care including intensive care and retrieval medicine and has also worked in the United Kingdom and Uganda. She has an interest in optimising trauma care for children and has produced the Paediatric component of the revised Trauma Victoria Guidelines.

A/Prof Peter Kas

Peter is a senior Emergency Physician and past Director of Emergency Services and Director of Emergency Medical Training. He is the creator and Convenor of the EMCORE Conferences. His mission is to teach. He runs the popular resus.com.au and emmastery.org. He has a passion for finding the perfect Long Island Iced Tea.

A/Prof Will Davies

Will is a senior Consultant Emergency Physician with extensive experienced in in a range of emergency medicine environments. He holds fellowships in emergency medicine, tropical medicine, medical administration and toxinology and is a Clinical Director within the NSW Health Service. He is also a medical advisor with an interest in the field of emerging artificial intelligence.

Professor Paul Middleton

Paul is a specialist in emergency medicine, and has worked in critical care retrieval in helicopters, fixed wing aircraft and ground ambulances. He is the Director of the South Western Emergency Research Institute (SWERI) at Liverpool Hospital, Chief Medical Information Officer at SWSLHD, and the Chair of Take Heart Australia. He was the Founding Chair of the Emergency Department Epidemiology Network (EDEN) of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) and the immediate Past Chair of the Australian Resuscitation Council NSW branch.
